The operative
system "MAC" is produced and sold by the American software
house called Apple (http://www.apple.com). This
system is sold together with personal computers designed and studied on purpose
for the system itself. The last generation operative Apple Macintosh systems are
based on kernel Unix and on a graphic interface called "Aqua" endowed
with high level of stability and usability. Compatibility and comunication with
Windows Systems is possible by means of appropriate
functions based on "Samba" server, characteristic of Unix/Linux
systems, and files may be very easily shared online between both systems.
When we talk about video format, and particularly about MPEG 4 - AVI or MOV, we
may be certain of viewing almost any video film realised on
the other one.
All guides for MAC suggested by DivX DooR have been produced and
tested on the most recent MAC OS X Panther (10.3). The compatibility with former
systems (softwares and procedures) is not guaranteed 100%. Moreover we recommend
that MAC OS X user consult also windows guides as not all important concepts are
always repeated in all the sections of the
site.
All
software
for MAC can be downloaded from the
Software
MAC page.
